Salsalito® Turkey Tapas Melt

Combining the intense flavors of Salsalito® Turkey Breast and Pepper Jack Cheese, this tapas melt is more meal than appetizer, and pairs nicely with a glass of wine or an imported cerveza.

  1. In a medium ovenproof skillet, heat the oil over medium-high.
  2. Add the peppers and onions and sauté, turning often until lightly browned. Remove from heat.
  3. Fold in the turkey.
  4. Layer the cheese overtop and place the skillet under the broiler a few minutes, just to melt the cheese.
  5. Cut the tortillas into bite-size wedges.
  6. Transfer the tapas mixture to a serving platter, keeping the cheese on top and leaving room for the tortilla wedges. Garnish with sliced tomatillo and cilantro; serve warm.
