Personal Information we Collect

Under California law, California residents who have provided Personal Information to a company have the right to request a list of all third parties to whom that company has disclosed such information for direct marketing purposes along with a list of the categories of Personal Information that have been so disclosed only if the company has not adopted and disclosed a privacy policy that provides the ability to opt-out of such disclosures. Instead, California legal requirements are met if the company provides you with information on how to exercise your right to prevent disclosure of your Personal Information. Because the Boars Head Brand policy as disclosed on this site provides California residents with an opportunity to opt-out of disclosures of your Personal Information to third parties for direct marketing purposes, Boars Head Brand is not required to maintain or disclose such lists.

Why we Collect your Personal Information

  1. We only collect Personal Information on individuals only as allowed by law. Boar’s Head Brand limits the collection of Personal Information to what is relevant and necessary to accomplish its lawful purpose. For example, Boar’s Head Brand may need to know an individual’s e-mail address or telephone number to answer the individual’s questions, provide requested information (such as in the form of a newsletter), enter a sweepstakes contest or to provide requested information or assistance about our products or brand.
  2. Boar’s Head Brand does not collect home, business or e-mail addresses, or account information from persons who simply browse the boarshead.com (and related) company web sites. Personal Information about individuals is collected through this web site only if an individual provides such information to the company voluntarily through e-mail, registration forms, or surveys, for example. This information will be used to facilitate in responding to the person or improve the content or navigation of the web site or provide survey information to users. The information collected in this manner is not subject to requests made pursuant to the Public Records Act, and site visitors may request to have their information discarded without reuse or distribution.
  3. Boar's Head Brand uses Google Analytics to help improve the web site. Google tracking cookies may be used to provide information to Google Analytics. Our web site may use Google Analytics to track web site statistics. Google tracking code used by every web site or application that employs Google Analytics stores information that identifies device IP addresses, but our web site is anonymizing that information and only part of device IP addresses are being used. Consequently, no information identifying you or your device is being stored at Google via our utilization of Google Analytics implementation.   4.   5. Other Boar's Head Brand’s use of your e-mail. You may choose to provide us with Personal Information, as in e-mail with a comment or question. We use the information to improve our service to you or to respond to your request. Sometimes we forward your e-mail to others within our company who may be better able to assist you. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations or, as required by law, we do not share our e-mail with any other organizations. We use your e-mail to respond appropriately. This may be to respond to you, to address issues you identify, or to further improve our web site. Submission of an e-mail to Boar's Head Brand through the web site does not create any attorney-client or other privileged or confidential relationship. Accordingly, please do not disclose any information to Boar's Head Brand that you wish to remain private or confidential.

How we Collect your Personal Information

Information You Provide to Us:  Boars Head Brand collects information about you when you (for example) visit our website, enter a sweepstakes contest, or sign up for a newsletter. Some of this information is automatically collected when you simply browse the site, and some is collected when you interact with the site. Examples of the type of information that you may be asked to voluntarily provide is your name, email address, culinary preferences, and related data. Of course, you may choose not to provide certain information to Boars Head Brand, but if you do so, you may not be able to participate in certain Boars Head Brand activities and transactions.

The information we automatically collect and store is used to improve the content of our web services and to help us understand how people are using our website and the information we make available to them. This information does not identify you personally and is used for gathering web site statistics. The information we automatically collect and store in our logs about your visit helps us to analyze our web site to continually improve the value of the materials available. Our web site logs do not identify a visitor by Personal Information, and we make no attempt to link other web sites with the individuals that browse our web site. Individuals have the right to have any electronically collected Personal Information deleted, without reuse or distribution. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

COPPA applies to the online collection of Personal Information from children under age 13. Boar's Head Brand complies with COPPA and does not knowingly collect Personal Information about children.


Use of Cookies and Other Technologies: Boars Head Brand may use cookies and/or other technologies or files (collectively, cookies) to identify how its visitors make use of this site. This aggregate tracking information is used to help Boars Head Brand improve and enhance the website experience for all its visitors. If you would prefer not to have such cookies stored on your computer, you may modify your browser settings to reject most cookies, or manually remove cookies that have been placed on your computer. However, by so rejecting the cookies, you may be unable to fully access the offerings on this site.

With Whom we Share your Personal Information

Third Party Marketing and Advertising and Your Rights (Opt-Out of Sale)

Boar's Head Brand does not sell Personal Information to third parties for monetary value. However, the term sale is defined broadly under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To the extent that sale under the CCPA is interpreted to include interest-based advertising or other data uses described in the Information Uses, Sharing and Disclosure Section above, we will comply with applicable law as to those activities. To opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising, you can exercise your choice by using your account privacy settings, or the general privacy settings link located at the footer of our homepage and most pages. The right to opt-out of interest-based advertising is available to all Boar's Head Brand website users and visitors. You may exercise this right by emailing or mailing your request.

Sale and Disclosure for Business Purposes

The company does not Sell or disclose your Personal Information for Business Purposes as defined in CCPA 1798.115(c), 1798.130(a).


"Sell", "selling", "sale" or "sold" means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer's Personal Information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.


Business Purpose means the use of Personal information for the business or a service providers operational purposes, or other notified purposes, provided that the use of Personal Information shall be reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the operational purpose for which the Personal Information was collected or processed or for another operational purpose that is compatible with the context in which the Personal Information was collected.


"Personal Information" is information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household. For example, it could include your name, social security number, email address, records of products purchased, internet browsing history, geolocation data, fingerprints, and inferences from other Personal Information that could create a profile about your preferences and characteristics.
