Five Dozen Mustard Varieties Sampled in National Taste Test
In a mustard taste test conducted by AOL Food, Boar’s Head Delicatessen Style Mustard was voted as best in category for deli/brown mustard., Choosing from more than five dozen varieties, all nationally available in supermarkets for less than $3.99, reviewers from AOL Food, https://food.aol.com, selected Boar’s Head as their favorite deli/brown mustard.
AOL Food gave the following review: “There were audible gasps and mmmms from tasters as they dipped into this full-bodied, grainy mustard. White wine and horseradish pair up to propel an artfully balanced nip and tang strong enough to assert its presence on a hearty sandwich, and complementary to all ingredients.” Said one, “This is how mustard is supposed to taste.’”
Other categories included yellow, honey, Dijon and hot, and overall favorite. Twenty-one brands were voted either a favorite or a runner up.In addition to Delicatessen Style Mustard, Boar’s Head offers other condiments, including the recently introduced Boar’s Head Pepperhouse GourmaiseTM sauce -- a combination of Boar’s Head Real Mayonnaise, Boar’s Head Delicatessen Style Mustard and a proprietary blend of black, white, pink and green peppercorns.
