Blazing Buffalo Chicken Sausage Jambalaya
Our Blazing Buffalo® All Natural Chicken Sausage touts an expert blend of cayenne pepper, paprika, and vinegar. For this homestyle favorite, simply slice and brown it in a pan to put it in a spicy homemade jambalaya that's bursting with flavor.
Instructions
- Brown the chicken sausage in a pan with olive oil.
- After browning, remove from pan and add butter and flour to the pan.Stir to make a roux.
- Add the onion and green pepper to the pan and saute until the onion is translucent.
- Add thyme, tomatoes, bay leaves, chicken broth, rice and chicken sausage back to the pan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Allow to rest covered for 10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chives and thyme.
