Asparagus & Prosciutto Bundles

Fresh asparagus wrapped in tender Prosciutto di Parma, then coated in a warm soy glaze. Enjoy every bite of bundling up this season.

Ingredients


2lbs
Fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
12slices
Boar's Head Prosciutto di Parma®
½cup
Light brown sugar
1
Stick of butter
1tbsp
Soy sauce
½tsp
Garlic salt
¼tsp
Freshly ground pepper

Instructions


  1. 01Preheat the oven to 425°F. Divide the asparagus spears into 12 bundles.
  2. 02Carefully wrap 1 piece of prosciutto around each bundle, starting about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the asparagus tips. Secure the prosciutto-wrapped spears with a toothpick.
  3. 03Lay the bundles in a low-sided casserole dish. Set aside.
  4. 04 In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil. Pour the hot, sugar mixture over the asparagus bundles.
  5. 05Transfer the dish to the oven and roast until the spears have begun to wilt and the prosciutto looks fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
