A well-made Grilled Cheese Sandwich is pure comfort food. Boar’s Head Fontina Cheese melts beautifully to provide a creamy complement to fresh tomatoes, black pepper and basil.
Arrange bread slices on work surface. Spread with butter on both sides, covering well.
Top one slice of the bread with 4 slices of cheese and layer tomatoes and basil on top. Crown with second slice of bread.
Place a skillet over medium heat, adding a little more butter. Place the sandwich into the skillet, and watch carefully for the cheese to begin melting. Once the bread is golden brown on the bottom, flip the sandwich.
Continue to grill until the cheese is fully melted and the other side of bread is golden.
