Melty Fontina and Tomato Grilled Cheese
A well-made Grilled Cheese Sandwich is pure comfort food. Boar’s Head Fontina Cheese melts beautifully to provide a creamy complement to fresh tomatoes, black pepper and basil.
- Arrange bread slices on work surface. Spread with butter on both sides, covering well.
- Top one slice of the bread with 4 slices of cheese and layer tomatoes and basil on top. Crown with second slice of bread.
- Place a skillet over medium heat, adding a little more butter. Place the sandwich into the skillet, and watch carefully for the cheese to begin melting. Once the bread is golden brown on the bottom, flip the sandwich.
- Continue to grill until the cheese is fully melted and the other side of bread is golden.
