Chicken Sausage Caprese Pasta
This colorful Caprese Pasta Bake expertly combines our Robust Italian Chicken Sausage with Fresh Mozzarella and a medley of garden vegetables.
Ingredients
9oz
Cherry Tomatoes3
Garlic cloves, minced1package
italian ch, sliced into rounds1tbsp
Extra Virgin Olive Oil3oz
Fresh baby spinach6oz
Basil pesto1cup
Boar's Head® Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, shredded1package
Boar's Head® Fresh Mozzarella, sliced⅛tsp
Red pepper flakesInstructions
- 01Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 02Cook pasta according to package directions.
- 03In a deep, cast iron skillet or baking dish, add tomatoes, garlic and chicken sausage. Drizzle with olive oil and lightly season with salt and pepper.
- 04Roast for 10-12 minutes until the cherry tomatoes are soft and fragrant.
- 05Add drained pasta to the skillet or baking dish, then toss with spinach, pesto and shredded mozzarella.
- 06Bake for 5 more minutes, then top with fresh mozzarella slices, placing it in the oven once more, until the mozzarella has just melted.
- 07Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves. Season with salt and red pepper flakes to taste.
