- 01Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease it.
- 02Cut the French baguette horizontally to split it lengthwise, keeping the two halves attached if possible. Place the baguette on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side up.
- 03In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the water and beef consommé. Stir until well mixed and bring just to a gentle simmer.
- 04Using tongs, dip the slices of Boar's Head® London Broil Roast Beef into the hot broth for about 3 minutes, or until warmed through. Let excess liquid drip back into the pan.
- 05Arrange the warmed London Broil Roast Beef along the length of the baguette. Top with slices of Boar's Head® Caramelized Onion Jack Monterey Jack Cheese, then spoon the caramelized onions evenly over the cheese.
- 06Bake the sandwich at 350°F for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the baguette is lightly toasted.
- 07Remove from the oven and slice the sandwich in half diagonally. Ladle some of the remaining hot broth into a small bowl and serve alongside the sandwich for dipping. Enjoy!
