Total Time20 mins

Ingredients

1
12-inch French baguette
1cup
Water
1cup
Beef consommé
6oz
London Broil Top Round Roast Beef, (approx. 6 slices)
2oz
Caramelized Onion Jack Monterey Jack Cheese, (approx. 2 slices)
½cup
Caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. 01Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease it.
  2. 02Cut the French baguette horizontally to split it lengthwise, keeping the two halves attached if possible. Place the baguette on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side up.
  3. 03In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the water and beef consommé. Stir until well mixed and bring just to a gentle simmer.
  4. 04Using tongs, dip the slices of Boar's Head® London Broil Roast Beef into the hot broth for about 3 minutes, or until warmed through. Let excess liquid drip back into the pan.
  5. 05Arrange the warmed London Broil Roast Beef along the length of the baguette. Top with slices of Boar's Head® Caramelized Onion Jack Monterey Jack Cheese, then spoon the caramelized onions evenly over the cheese.
  6. 06Bake the sandwich at 350°F for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the baguette is lightly toasted.
  7. 07Remove from the oven and slice the sandwich in half diagonally. Ladle some of the remaining hot broth into a small bowl and serve alongside the sandwich for dipping. Enjoy!
