Chaffle Breakfast Sandwich

We don’t know who created Chaffles (waffles made with cheese), but we can confirm that they are absolutely amazing. Try one topped with Ovengold® Turkey, Bacon, Egg, and Cheddar for a recipe you'll want to keep trying.

Ingredients


 
Header: For the Chaffle
2
Eggs
1cup
Boar's Head® Fresh Mozzarella, shredded
4tbsp
Almond flour
1tsp
Baking powder
 
Header: For the Sandwich
 
Boar's Head Thick Cut Bacon
1tbsp
Butter or Olive Oil
1
Egg, over easy
1slice
Boar's Head® Sharp Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese
2
Ovengold® Roasted Turkey Breast

Instructions


  1. 01Header: For the Chaffle
  2. 02Preheat a waffle maker to medium-high heat.
  3. 03Whisk together 2 eggs, mozzarella cheese, almond flour, and baking powder.
  4. 04Pour chaffle mixture into the center of the waffle iron. Close the waffle maker and let cook for 3-5 minutes or until chaffle is golden brown and set.
  5. 05Remove chaffle from the waffle maker and make another, repeating step 3. Set aside.
  6. 06Header: For the Sandwich
  7. 07Prepare bacon according to package directions. Set aside.
  8. 08Preheat a small skillet to low-medium heat until butter is melted, or olive oil is hot.
  9. 09Pan fry an egg, about two minutes on each side, until over easy.
  10. 10On your first chaffle, layer your cheese, turkey and egg, then top with bacon.
  11. 11Top with your second chaffle.
  12. 12Slice in half and enjoy!
