Chaffle Breakfast Sandwich
We don’t know who created Chaffles (waffles made with cheese), but we can confirm that they are absolutely amazing. Try one topped with Ovengold® Turkey, Bacon, Egg, and Cheddar for a recipe you'll want to keep trying.
Ingredients

Eggs1cup
Boar's Head® Fresh Mozzarella, shredded4tbsp
Almond flour1tsp
Baking powder1tbsp
Butter or Olive Oil1
Egg, over easy1slice
Boar's Head® Sharp Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese2
Ovengold® Roasted Turkey BreastInstructions
- 01Header: For the Chaffle
- 02Preheat a waffle maker to medium-high heat.
- 03Whisk together 2 eggs, mozzarella cheese, almond flour, and baking powder.
- 04Pour chaffle mixture into the center of the waffle iron. Close the waffle maker and let cook for 3-5 minutes or until chaffle is golden brown and set.
- 05Remove chaffle from the waffle maker and make another, repeating step 3. Set aside.
- 06Header: For the Sandwich
- 07Prepare bacon according to package directions. Set aside.
- 08Preheat a small skillet to low-medium heat until butter is melted, or olive oil is hot.
- 09Pan fry an egg, about two minutes on each side, until over easy.
- 10On your first chaffle, layer your cheese, turkey and egg, then top with bacon.
- 11Top with your second chaffle.
- 12Slice in half and enjoy!
