Mezze Pizza Pita with Traditional Hummus

Crisp, Mediterranean veggies and creamy feta cheese crumbles are layered on a bed of smooth hummus and crispy pita for a dish that satisfies any time of day.

Ingredients

Pita round
2tbsp
Olive Oil
1tsp
Oregano
1container
Boar's Head Brand® Traditional Hummus
¼cup
Red Onion, sliced
1cup
Cherry tomatoes, halved
½cup
Kalamata olives, halved
 
Crumbled Feta Cheese, for sprinkling
 
Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions


  1. 01Turn the broiler on at 500ºF and place pita on a baking sheet.
  2. 02Drizzle olive oil over each pita, sprinkle lightly with oregano, then broil for 2-3 minutes, just until the oil begins to crisp the pita.
  3. 03Remove from the oven, then carefully and evenly spread hummus over each toasted pita.
  4. 04Dress with red onion, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  5. 05Slice and serve.
