Roasted Apple, Ham & Gruyere Sandwich
Our sweet Maple Honey Ham and traditional Blanc Gruyere® melt into the flavorful bite of spiced and roasted apples. Gather around the table and indulge in the sweet sensations of this simple, yet delightful sandwich.
Ingredients
1tbsp
Butter1tsp
Nutmeg½tsp
Sage1
Apple, cut into 8 slices8oz
Boar's Head® Maple Glazed Honey Coat® Ham4
Rustic bread, sliced thin3oz
Blanc Grue Gruyere Cheese, sliced thickInstructions
- 01In a large pan, heat butter over medium heat. Add the apple slices, sprinkle with nutmeg & sage, and sauté for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
- 02Set the oven to broil.
- 03Layer ham on two slices of bread, and top both with 2 apple slices.
- 04Place slices of gruyere followed by the remaining slices of apple. Place the sandwiches, including the remaining slices of bread, under the broiler until the cheese starts to melt.
- 05Place the lid on each sandwich and serve.
