Roasted Apple, Ham & Gruyere Sandwich

Our sweet Maple Honey Ham and traditional Blanc Gruyere® melt into the flavorful bite of spiced and roasted apples. Gather around the table and indulge in the sweet sensations of this simple, yet delightful sandwich.

Ingredients


1tbsp
Butter
1tsp
Nutmeg
½tsp
Sage

Apple, cut into 8 slices
8oz
Boar's Head® Maple Glazed Honey Coat® Ham
4
Rustic bread, sliced thin
3oz
Blanc Grue Gruyere Cheese, sliced thick

Instructions


  1. 01In a large pan, heat butter over medium heat. Add the apple slices, sprinkle with nutmeg & sage, and sauté for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. 02Set the oven to broil.
  3. 03Layer ham on two slices of bread, and top both with 2 apple slices.
  4. 04Place slices of gruyere followed by the remaining slices of apple. Place the sandwiches, including the remaining slices of bread, under the broiler until the cheese starts to melt.
  5. 05Place the lid on each sandwich and serve.
