Robust Italian Chicken Sausage Fettuccine Carbonara

The rich and savory flavors of italian style chicken sausage and parmigiano-reggiano are layered throughout this creamy pasta dish, sure to leave you and your guests impressed.

Ingredients


½lb
Fettuccine pasta
3tbsp
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1pkg.
Robust Italian All Natural* Chicken Sausage, cut in half lengthwise and sliced 1/4 inch thick
3
Egg
¾cup
Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, grated
1tbsp
Fresh parsley stem, chopped

Instructions


  1. 01Prepare fettuccine according to package directions. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water.
  2. 02In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and saute Chicken Sausage until browned. Turn off heat and set aside.
  3. 03Mix eggs, cheese, and parsley in a bowl. Add the Chicken Sausage, then pour over the cooked pasta, tossing gently with tongs and using reserved pasta water to thin sauce.
  4. 04Return to very low heat for 1-2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve.
