Melty Cheese Board

The weather outside is frightful, but this decadent board is delightful. Crafted with Gold Label Imported Switzerland Swiss® Cheese and Blanc Grue® Gruyere Cheese, it's guaranteed to warm hearts and holiday appetites.

Ingredients

Gold Label Imported Switzerland Swiss® Cheese, shredded
8oz
Blanc Grue® Gruyere Cheese, shredded

Garlic Clove, sliced in half
cups
Dry White Wine
½tsp
Cornstarch
2tsp
Kirsch

Baguette, sliced into 1-inch-thick pieces

Apples, sliced
2
Pears, sliced
1cup
Pretzels

Instructions


  1. 01Rub inside of a 4-quart pot with garlic slices. Add wine to pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. 02Stir together cornstarch and kirsch in a cup. Gradually add Gold Label Imported Switzerland Swiss® Cheese and Blanc Grue® Gruyere Cheese to pot and stir constantly side-to-side until cheese is melted.
  3. 03Stir cornstarch mixture into fondue. Bring fondue to a simmer and cook, stirring until thickened (5-8 minutes).
  4. 04Transfer fondue pot to cast iron skillet or fondue pot to sit over a flame.
  5. 05Arrange a board with pairings: apple slices, pear slices, baguette slices, pretzels, etc.
  6. 06Serve and enjoy!
